The Many, Many Temples on Koya's Main Street

Koya, in Wakayama Prefecture, is the headquarters of Shingon Buddhism. Hence, the tiny town (pop. 3,598) is practically lined with temples of various sizes. A rough count on Google Maps revealed close to 70, with most of them located on the town's main street.
