For the Birds

A mikan orange half poked through a tree branch, in hopes of attracting the shrike birds that have flown down to Japan for the winter.

That's an interesting idea but it doesn't attract other bugs like ants? Are there ants in Japan.

Yeah, there are ants but it's winter so they're not as active. Japanese ants are huge, though.
