Rikugien Park

Rikugien Park, close to Komagome Station.

Built in 1695, the park is today particular popular during cherry blossom and foliage seasons.

I have to say, though, out of all of the parks I have been to, I was particularly unimpressed by this one. The main reason is the overabundance of crows, who seemed to be claiming the park as their own -- proof that the park is devoid of diversity in terms of birds.

The traditional gardener garb seems to be the uniform among male Japanese gardeners.

Using shingles to create a path.

This turtle was frighteningly intent of getting as close to me as possible.
