The cherry blossom trees along the Kanda River were in full bloom this past weekend. Facebook told me a lot of my friends went to see the longer Meguro River, but I wonder if it could have been any more beautiful tha this. You can almost ignore the brown sludge of the water.
This is what people were doing when they weren't strolling alongside the river. I suppose this is our version of a cookout, with our portable burners and pots.
It's one thing to see cherry blossoms from afar; it's quite another to be able to walk under the canopy of trees. The weather was warm and sunny, and people were wandering around in a blissful haze.
